Westside Age Inclusion Ltd. was established in Feb 2002 to deliver services to the socially disadvantaged elderly people (over 55’s) who live in the Westside area of Galway City.
The project aims to improve the quality of life and wellbeing of its client base by identifying and working directly with older people in their homes. The project aims to link with agencies and working in partnership to improve the quality of life of older people in the community.
Westside Age inclusion ltd are funded by Pobal which is under the Dept. of Employment Affairs and Social Protection for wages only. All monies generated from our service are put back into our company for running cost.
Westside Age Inclusion Ltd covers all local authority estates in the Westside area. We have six services that we provide to socially disadvantaged people over 55 and these are delivered from Monday to Friday. Areas of work consists of Home help/maintenance & gardening/ office / senior alert/social club and laundry.
Westside Age inclusion ltd is a company limited by guarantee and not having a share capital we also hold charity status. We are funded by Pobal for our wages but rely on grants and fundraising to provide our services to our client base.
